Jack Crangle began his working career as a salesman selling retreads to tyre depots in the Yorkshire area, quickly establishing himself and achieving promotion to Sales Manager.
It was in 1973, that Jack and his wife decided to relocate to Wem in Shropshire and Kingpin Tyres was founded. Shortly afterwards they were joined by Jack’s son Barry and in recent years Jack’s daughter Deborah. After a modest beginning Kingpin quickly established itself within the tyre industry, growing from strength to strength continuing to invest in high quality machinery to ensure an excellent end product. Kingpin has their own fleet of vehicles to provide a comprehensive service from collection of a used tyre to retread through to delivery.
Jack’s commitment and drive has ensured that his team work to the same high standards, producing quality retreads, flying the flag for Britain.
Kingpin Tyres Ltd is honoured to have received the NTDA’s TAFF Award for the Best Environmental Company 2008. We were also nominated for the 2010 Best Environmental Company Award.
